Android Experience Meetup
This Friday a strange crowd gathered together in Utrecht for an Android Experience Meetup. There were passionates, developers, students, young and old at the meeting which was held in a Cafe and was supported by Samsung who were presenting their new gadget: a new Samsung Galaxy Tablet.

Finding the place was fairly easy because of nice poster of Android, so luckily I didn’t get lost in a great city of Utrecht. After, I entered the cafe, people inside immediately started conversation with me – in Dutch – and handed a new Galaxy. I played with that new gadget a bit. It’s exactly half size of Apple iPad, runs on Android OS and has new writing system of Samsung “the sliding writing” which I couldn’t use at all, but it must be a matter of practice. Quality of the device is high, and it is presenting a good performance, at least during the web browsing and playing videos. As long as you know Android, you will feel like home straight away. Also, it has two disadvantages, its price which is higher than iPad and screen resolutions is higher than standard which force developers to consider new layout for their applications.
After checking the Galaxy, everyone could enjoyed free beer sponsored by Samsung, have some conversation, share e-mails, and check some new applications being developed on Android by different people and companies. Also, there were an opportunity to get a job or at least talk to some company representatives from Utrecht which were looking for a developers.
