DFW Airport introduces live Security Wait Times

Together with Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, we have been working on the DFW Airport app for over four years. We work with them to keep innovating to ensure that traveling to and from the airport is smooth and enjoyable. As part of this endeavor, DFW Airport introduced live Security Wait Times in the app.

First airport with live wait times of every checkpoint and every lane

Going through airport security as quickly as possible; who doesn’t want that? Sometimes you get overwhelmed by the unexpected long lines at the TSA checkpoints. Your checkpoint might be busy while the lines at other checkpoints are very short without you even knowing.

With the DFW Airport app passengers are now able to see live security wait times of every checkpoint and every lane. This allows them to decide whether the nearest checkpoint is also the fastest to go through. The app gives them a clear overview of all 16 checkpoints and their lanes. Each of these checkpoints and each lane has its own measuring. DFW Airport is the first airport to offer live wait times of every checkpoint and every lane.

The success of the DFW Airport app

With the addition of live security wait times, it’s getting more and more relevant to passengers to download the DFW Airport app. Up-to-date flight information can be found through multiple online channels, but the feature we have been adding to the DFW Airport app over the years make the app worth downloading. From Prepaid Parking and Mobile Food Ordering to Indoor Wayfinding; the DFW Airport app has it all.

Ever since we have been working on the DFW Airport app, the results keep surprising us. With over 25,000 monthly active users, the app has an all-time store rating of 4.7 in the Apple Appstore and 4.0 in the Google Play Store. In addition, the app is downloaded over 400,000 times.
